Publishing Briefs: Pitbull Extends With BMG, Dido Signs With Warner Chappell
BMG has extended its global publishing deal with Pitbull. He first signed to the company nearly a decade ago, and under this renewed partnership, his back catalog of hits and future songs will be administered by the BMG team.
Warner Chappell Music has signed singer-songwriter Dido to a new publishing deal, including her back catalog and future works. The deal includes hit songs like “Here With Me,” “White Flag,” “Life For Rent,” and “Thank You,” among others from her catalog, as well as some songs she has also written for other artists including Britney Spears and Rihanna.
Riot Games has expanded its global publishing administration deal with BMG and started a new strategic partnership with the music company to sign and service songwriters to frontline publishing deals.
Concord Music Publishing has signed Matt Bronleewe to a global co-publishing agreement. The deal includes a selection of the Grammy-nominated producer and songwriter’s catalog and future works.
Sony Music Publishing Nashville has partnered with Verse 2 Music — a publishing company founded by Kane Brown and Kent Earls — to sign Dylan Schneider to a global publishing deal. Schneider is best known for his viral country hit “Ain’t Missin’ You” as well as his writing credit on Dustin Lynch’s “Momma’s House.”
Angry Mob Music Group has signed multiple new sub-publishing agreements with OMSA, Rocking Gorillas and Clippers, expanding its reach into Mexico, Central America, South America, Spain and Portugal.
Independent label Pack Records has launched Pack Publishing. Along with the announcement of the new branch of the company, Pack also revealed its first publishing signee, CONNIE. A producer and artist, CONNIE, who is also signed to Pack on the recording side, has worked with talents including JELEEL, members of BROCKHAMPTON, grouptherapy, TiaCorine and Zack Fox.
