More new names have been added to the 2025 edition of Radio 1’s Big Weekend, including Mumford & Sons and JADE. Find out the details below.

This year’s edition of the festival is set to be held at Sefton Park in Liverpool between Friday May 23 to Sunday May 25. The first wave of artists joining the bill was shared earlier this year, and included Sam Fender, Blossoms, Lola Young, Wet Leg and BRITs Rising Star 2025 winner Myles Smith.

Since then, more names have steadily been added to the schedule, including Wolf Alice, Inhaler, Aitch, Tom Grennan, Biffy Clyro, Confidence Man, Barry Can’t Swim, Nia Archives, Katy B, Crawlers and The Wombats.

Now, a new list of new additions has been added – all of whom are set to perform on the final night of the 2025 instalment.

These include Mumford & Sons, who are set to help close out the festival with a huge set on the Radio 1 main stage. The slot comes as the band gears up for the release of their new album, ‘RUSHMERE’, which will be released on March 28. They also played two back-to-back surprise gigs in London earlier this year.

“Liverpool, we really cannot wait to see you all at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in May. We’re counting this one as the start of the Summer, and that can’t come quickly enough. Big thanks to Radio 1 for having us,” they said in a new statement.

Also added to the bill is pop star Tate McRae, who recently dropped her long-awaited third album ‘So Close To What’ and nabbed a four-star review from NME, as well as Jorja Smith, who recently received a nomination at this year’s BRIT Awards and is gearing up for a headline tour and Self Esteem, who is gearing up for new material and making a name for herself on the West End.

Another 2025 BRIT nominee added to the line-up is JADE, who went on to win the trophy for Best Pop Act. She is expected to break out some new solo material, including her huge single ‘Angel Of My Dreams’.

The return to Liverpool’s Sefton Park comes as the site previously hosted Blossoms’ historic COVID pilot show in 2021. Additionally, the city staged the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023.

Last year’s Big Weekend took place in Luton, with performances from the likes of Coldplay, Vampire Weekend and RAYE.
