Yinka Bokinni and Dotty have been announced as the hosts of this year’s Red Bull Culture Clash.

The 2025 edition of “the world’s biggest music battle” is set to celebrate four pillars of the UK scene: rap, electronic, Caribbean, and for the first time, Afrobeats.

It’ll take place at the Drumsheds in Tottenham, London next Saturday (March 8), marking its first event in the capital in almost 10 years. Final release tickets are on general sale now – you can buy yours here via Dice.

Rapper, DJ and presenter Dotty presents The Dotty Show on Apple Music 1, and has “a big self-proclaimed goal: to bring Black music culture from around the world to life”.

Speaking about being selected to co-host the Red Bull Culture Clash 2025, she explained: “I am so gassed to be announced as a host for Red Bull Culture Clash!

“I was actually onstage at the last Red Bull Culture Clash in 2016, so I’ve been waiting nine years for this moment to take the wheel. I think me and Yinka are going to have an incredible time.”

Broadcaster and cultural commentator Yinka Bokinni’s career in music includes TV, live events and radio programmes such as the Capital Xtra Breakfast Show, which she hosted for three years.

“When Mixpak drew for the Drake dub and the crowd went wild, the roof went off and at that moment I knew they had won” she said, remembering the 2016 Red Bull Culture Clash at London’s O2.

Looking ahead to this year’s edition, Bokinni added: “A good Red Bull Culture Clash this year would be a really pumping crowd and the different sound systems to go as hard as possible.

“Take no prisoners and leave nothing in the tracklist! This is a show like no other and I’m excited to share the stage with Dotty!”

A description of the 2025 Red Bull Culture Clash reads: “The unique music battle, inspired by Jamaican sound clash culture, pits musical crews or Sound Systems against each other to win over the crowd with their exclusive dubplates (special re-recordings of popular songs).

“This year, Red Bull Culture Clash will showcase the best of UK Rap, Electronic, Dancehall and for the first time, Afrobeats.

“Taking to their respective stages: Homegrown led by Jyoty and joined by Conducta, Flowdan, Lil Silva and Stush; Voice of the Streets led by Kenny Allstar and joined by Big Narstie, Bushkin, Cristale, DJ AG, DJ Andy P, Ghetts and Snoochie Shy; Native Soundsytem led by Teezee joined by NSG, Spinall, Pa Salieu and Michael Dapaah and last but never least, reigning champion Spice Army led by Spice accompanied by Jiggy D, Loyal Squad, Mak 10, Noah Powa, Rampage Sound and Richie Feelings.”

It adds: “This is a one-night-only experience with surprises at every turn. If you’re not there, you’ll definitely miss the burn. Simple as that.”
