‘Red Dead Redemption’ players add ‘Grand Theft Auto 6’ to the game
Red Dead Redemption has finally launched on PC and players have already modded the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer and Neon Genesis Evangelion anime intro to the game’s cinema.
Red Dead Redemption is a modern classic about cowboy John Marston rounding up the former members of his gang. Set in the last years of the Wild West, Marston can enjoy activities like going to the cinema. Of course, it was all silent films back then, with a pianist playing the soundtrack, but that hasn’t stopped modders from adding some anachronistic shows for him to enjoy.

In a video shared by Casey Mongillo, the voice actor for Neon Genesis Evangelion protagonist Shinji Ikari in Netflix‘s English dub, Marston can be seen going into a cinema that amounts to little more than a shed out in the desert. Once he takes a seat, the iconic anime opening plays for him.

The voice actor also shared a video of Marston watching the trailer for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6, due out sometime in 2025. The trailer shows off the beaches and swamps surrounding Florida-inspired Vice City. They accompanied the tweet with a caption that read “we got GTA 6 in RDR before GTA 6.”
Grand Theft Auto 5 came out in 2013, 11 years ago. The upcoming GTA 6 was subject to a large leak before finally getting officially announced via its trailer. It’s unlikely the game will launch on Xbox’s Game Pass service, so when it does launch next year, users are likely to have to pay full price or wait for a sale.
In other news, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said: “Last week’s launch of Black Ops 6 was the biggest Call of Duty release ever”.
