Renee Rapp Joins Role Model Onstage for Viral ‘Sally, When the Wine Runs Out’ Bridge
One of the fan-favorite moments of Role Model’s current tour is during his latest hit, “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out,” where he brings out a fan onstage to dance along to the bridge with him.
However, he’s also welcomed fellow stars to join him for the moment, as he did in Los Angeles this week. “Where’s my Sally tonight?” Role Model asked the crowd in a video posted to TikTok, before Reneé Rapp walked out and began dancing. “Aw, s—, here we go again, I’m falling headfirst/ Ankles hit the two-step, Sally makes my head hurt/ Heard through the grapevine, she can be a diva/ Cold like Minnesota, hotter than a fever,” the audience sang the bridge as the duo hugged it out and danced together.
Role Model has just a few more shows in the North American leg of his No Place Like Home tour, before it wraps up in Seattle on April 10. “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” has quickly become the standout hit from the expanded edition of his Kansas Anymore album.
The rising star recently told Triple J of the hit, “For me, dance-y songs are probably the hardest things to write. I can’t do it. And that was like my one goal. I was like, I have to do this, even if it takes me an extra year. And I think we did it.”
