This week, Ashcroft will play two UK headline shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London (October 25) and the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton (27).
In other news, the singer-songwriter is reportedly set to open for Oasis on their huge 2025 UK and Ireland reunion tour next summer alongside Cast.
Earlier this month, Liam Gallagher told his followers on X/Twitter that it would be either Ashcroft or Manic Street Preachers supporting Oasis next year. “All we need now is to be CAST away on our jolly travels,” he added.
In a separate post, the frontman said Oasis “never set sail without the one and only RICARDO”, adding: “He’s our boy from day DOT come aboard Rkid.”
When asked if Ashcroft could appear at Oasis Live ’25 last month, Liam responded: “That would be BIBLICAL.”
Ashcroft’s stripped-back and reimagined album ‘Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1’ peaked at Number Two in 2021.
In a three-star review of the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Natural Rebel’, NME wrote: “‘Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1’ is well worth a listen – and an excellent reminder of some of both Ashcroft and The Verve’s finest work.”
