Rita Ora cancels Hungary show after emergency hospitalisation
Rita Ora has been forced to cancel a festival performance in Hungary after being hospitalised.
The singer took to social media over the weekend to announce the news via a now-expired Instagram Story. In the post – which was screen-grabbed and later shared on X (formerly Twitter) – she wrote: “Please forgive this unexpected turn of events but sadly I will not be able to perform at Campus Fesztival tonight. Having spent the night in hospital in Budapest, I must rest thoroughly and follow doctor’s orders.”
Get well Rita! We love you

To wrap up her statement, Rita apologised to the fans who were expecting to see her perform, assuring them that their understanding didn’t go unnoticed. She said: “I am so sorry to my fans who are going to be there today and I’m truly thankful for your understanding.”
According to several screenshots posted on X, Ora briefly revealed that she was suffering from kidney stones, before quickly deleting the post. Since then, Ora has made no mention of her condition or why she was hospitalised.

The singer is next due to perform on August 16 for the Lovestream Festival in Slovakia alongside other big names like 50 Cent, Macklemore, and Chase and Status. It is currently unknown if her upcoming performances will be affected by her condition.
Rita Ora released her third studio album ‘You & I’ in July last year. She most recently followed that up with the single ‘Ask & You Shall Receive’ in May. Earlier this month, she released an EP of remixes for the track, featuring new takes on the song by Zdot, One Track Brain and JACONDA.
