Rival Schools announce 2025 UK and Ireland tour celebrating ‘United By Fate’ and ‘Pedals’
Rival Schools have shared details of a UK and Ireland tour, which will see them celebrate two of their classic albums. Find out more below.
Announced today (January 27), the post-hardcore group have unveiled plans for six upcoming shows, each taking place in May.
These kick off with an opening night at Whelan’s in Dublin on May 1, before heading over to Manchester the following night for a slot at the Academy 3 venue. From there, shows at Newcastle’s Digital and Glasgow’s St. Lukes are planned for May 3 and 4 respectively, before the band heads to Leeds two nights later for a gig at Wardrobe.
The final listed tour date will see Walter Schreifels and co. appear as special guests for Hundred Reasons, as the latter will be celebrating their 25th anniversary with a show at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.
New Rival Schools tour dates come in celebration of two of their albums 2001’s debut, ‘United By Fate’, and ‘Pedals’, which was the follow-up sophomore album that arrived a decade later.
“When we were touring behind ‘United by Fate’, we were doing it professionally, trying to make it in some way, and there’s a lot of intensity in that. Now, we’re doing it because we really enjoy it and want to be with each other and get into it,” explained Schreifels.
“So because of that chillness, we just have a lot of laughs. Our chemistry has been there for a long time.”
