Rob Lowe has claimed that Michael Jackson asked his plastic surgeon if he could have his chin.

The Parks And Recreation actor opened up about the encounter during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he spoke about knowing the late singer.

“I had worked with [sister] Janet so I knew the family a little bit,” he recalled, before sharing the strange request from Jackson’s surgeon when they crossed paths.

“I actually was approached by a plastic surgeon, and he introduced himself and he said he was Michael’s surgeon. He told me that Michael had requested my chin,” he said.

“It turns out for a brief shining moment in the 80s, it was the most requested chin.”

A biopic of Jackson’s life is currently in the works titled Michael, which will star nephew, Jaafar Jackson, as the late singer.

Last month, it was reported that the film’s third act – which apparently depicts sexual abuse allegations against the singer – has been forced to reshoot.

Puck reports that the scenes hinge “specifically on the impact” of the case of 13-year-old Jordan Chandler, whose father Evan accused Jackson of abusing. The case reached a financial settlement in 1994.

Jackson’s estate has allegedly signed an agreement that bans the case from being dramatised, and would render “several key scenes unusable”.

The site reports that the film could be under threat if studio Universal refuses to sign off on the reshoots, though sources are “confident” and “hopeful” that it could be resolved before the planned October release date.

In other news, last summer Lowe revealed that he is working on the “early stages” of a sequel to his 80s classic St. Elmo’s Fire.

“We’ve met with the studio and I have been talking about doing it for about four months,” Lowe told Entertainment Tonight, revealing that the success of documentary Brats about him and his fellow Brat Pack stars “only added to the excitement around it.”

“But it’s very, very, very, very, very early stages,” he added. “So we will see.”
