Rock legends Monster Magnet announce 35th anniversary UK tour

American rock legends Monster Magnet have announced a 35th anniversary tour of the UK and Europe – see the full list of dates below.

Yesterday (May 7), the band took to social media to announce the tour, which will take place between September and October, and will see the veterans play over 20 dates including festival appearances.

Stops on the tour include Manchester, Glasgow, London, Paris, Milan, Copenhagen, Warsaw, Berlin and many more. Tickets to the tour go on sale this Friday (May 10) at 9am BST and can be purchased here.

The band’s frontman Dave Wyndorf said of the upcoming tour via a press release: “Hot damn! 35 years and it feels gooood! Of course, this celebration will not be spent by us hanging around our homes huddled over some cake with too many candles on it. We gotta get on that bus and blow out some serious noise in multiple locations! It’s called a tour. The Monster Magnet 35th anniversary European Tour to be exact.”

Monster Magnet formed in 1989 in New Jersey, New York, and are considered by many to be pioneers of the stoner rock sound. Their fourth album, ‘Powertrip’, broke into the charts in 1998 and went gold within just six months. That album spawned the hit, ‘Space Lord’.

The band have released 14 studio albums to date, with the most recent being the 2022 effort, ‘Test Patters: Vol. 1’.
