Sabrina Carpenter fans react to ‘Short n’ Sweet’ ‘Fortnite’ collab: “I’m obsessed”
Sabrina Carpenter has finally arrived in Fortnite with a collaboration inspired by her ongoing ‘Short n’ Sweet’ world tour – and fans are loving it.
After teasing Sabrina Carpenter’s arrival for weeks, Fortnite unveiled the collaboration earlier today (April 8). “Global superstar and two-time GRAMMY winner Sabrina Carpenter brings her eccentric brand of pop to Fortnite Festival Season 8. Unlock her ‘Juno’ and ‘Nonsense’ Jam Tracks in the Season 8 Music Pass,” reads the announcement blog while tracks like ‘Please Please Please’ and ‘Taste’ are available to buy in the Fortnite shop.
The collab also introduces a number of Carpenter-inspired rewards including guitars, microphones and back bling as well as two different outfits that pull heavy influence from her ‘Short n’ Sweet’ live show. Emotes for ‘Please Please Please’ and ‘Taste’ are also available as part of Sabrina Carpenter’s arrival in Fortnite and take inspiration from her onstage choreography.

“I’m obsessed with these Sabrina Carpenter skins for Fortnite,” one fan wrote on X. “She’s the best series icon so far,” said another, with Carpenter following in the footsteps of Billie Eilish, The Weeknd and Metallica. “This made me want to start playing Fortnite again,” added a third fan.
Speaking about the Fortnite collaboration with Rolling Stone, Sabrina Carpenter said: “I’ve always found it exciting for fans to be able to interact and engage with music through different art forms and to interact in a way that’s genuinely fun. So, for the fans that haven’t been able to come to the tour, or to any new fans, this is such a special way to still be a part of ‘Short n’ Sweet’ world.”

She went on to say that while she hadn’t played Fortnite beforehand, she wants to see “icon” Dolly Parton added to the game. Playfully hitting back at comments about her Fortnite skin not being accurate, Carpenter (who is five foot tall) said: “My avatar is for sure height appropriate, as Fortnite characters are all around six foot three, which is actually how tall I am in real life too.”
Sabrina Carpenter released ‘Short n’ Sweet’ last year while a deluxe edition – featuring a collab with Parton – came earlier this year. The singer has just wrapped up the European leg of her world tour but will be back in the UK this summer for two gigs at London’s Hyde Park as part of the BST festival series. Clairo will support her at both gigs, with Beabadoobee set to play on July 5 and Olivia Dean supporting on July 6. More artists will be added to the lineup in the coming weeks and tickets are on sale now.
In other news, Streamer Valkyrae has confirmed their cameo in A Minecraft Movie has been cut. Last year, she criticised Jason Momoa’s behaviour on the set of the film.
