The 52nd annual Saturn Awards took place on Sunday (February 2) at Hilton Universal City in Los Angeles. Dune: Part Two came away with five awards, while Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine also won several prizes.
Created in 1973, The Saturn Awards are organised by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films to honour the best in genre fiction in cinema, television, and home entertainment. Joel McHale hosted the event for the third year in a row, with this year’s edition dedicated to the memory of Titanic and Avatar producer Jon Landau, who passed in 2024.

Nicolas Cage won Best Actor in the film categories, using his acceptance speech to pay tribute to director David Lynch and speak out against Artificial Intelligence.
In the television awards, Fallout took home the Best Science Fiction Television Series award, with House Of The Dragon winning for Best Fantasy Series. The Penguin stars Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti both won awards for their performances.
