Self Esteem announces ‘A Complicated Woman Live’ “theatrical presentation” of new album for London’s West End
Self Esteem has announced a live “theatrical presentation” of her upcoming third album ‘A Complicated Woman’ – find all the details below.
The singer-songwriter – aka Rebecca Lucy Taylor – is due to release the 12-track record on April 25 via Polydor. She’s already previewed the follow-up to 2021’s Mercury and BRIT-nominated ‘Prioritise Pleasure’ with the single ‘Focus Is Power’, released last week.
Today (January 28), it has been confirmed that a brand-new intimate show from Taylor – titled ‘A Complicated Woman Live’ – will be coming to the Duke Of York’s Theatre in London this spring.
Created by Taylor and Tony award-winning designer Tom Scutt, the “unique” performance is described as “an ambitious quasi-theatrical experience that harnesses the power and energy of a gig but presents it through a theatrical format”.
Scutt also directed ‘A Complicated Woman Live’, which features choreography by Stuart Rogers, and musical direction by Mike Park.
A limited run of five shows has been scheduled for April 16, 17, 18 and 19 – with the latter date featuring two performances.
Tickets for all shows go on general sale at 10am GMT on Wednesday February 5 – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Fans who pre-order Self Esteem’s new album here before 10am GMT next Monday (February 3) can access a limited pre-sale.
