Sexyy Red denies reports of low tickets sales: “We not cancelling no tour”
Sexyy Red has commented on rumours that her current North American tour is on the verge of cancellation due to poor ticket sales.
Last week, Red announced to fans that she would be going on her own ‘Sexyy Red 4 President’ headline tour later this year. Rumours subsequently emerged claiming that Red’s second headline tour wasn’t selling as quickly as they thought. According to The Art Of Dialogue and Touring Data, only 37.11 per cent of the 85,217 tickets have been sold.
The ‘U My Everything’ star then quote-tweeted the blog site’s post, setting the record straight: “My fans are buying tickets [and] we’re doin’ just fine. We not cancelling no tour. Dis cancelling shit all cap [hat emojis].”

The self-proclaimed Ghetto Princess then went on to call the news an attempt to “sabotage” AG Entertainment – the Black-owned events company she chose to partner with for the tour.
“Dis how dey try to do [you when you] go wit’ an independent promoter ‘n the bigger companies try to sabotage [you],” she wrote on X/Twitter – reiterating that “we not cancelling shit”.
She continued: “I did my touring deal with a Black promoter – Black-owned company AG Entertainment – and now dey playin’ dirty, paying pages, spreading fake news to discourage my fans from buying tickets.”

Last month, Sexyy Red released her third mixtape, ‘In Sexyy We Trust’ – the highly-anticipated follow-up to her major-label debut ‘Hood’s Hottest Princess’. There were features from Lil Baby, Mike WiLL Made-It, VonOff1700 and Drake on the record.
The latter was on ‘U My Everything’, which briefly sampled Metro Boomin’s ‘BBL Drizzy’ beat. The record came two months after the release of her first single of the year, ‘Get It Sexyy’ – which was her first Billboard top 20.
Red is currently on a worldwide festival run, which she kicked off back in February at Rolling Loud California.
She recently received backlash after her festival stage design went viral. In the background, the rapper and her dancers perform in front of a massive “Make America Sexyy Again” hat – a play on Donald Trump’s infamous “Make America Great Again” slogan.
Festival-goers called out Roots Picnic – the one-day festival curated by Questlove – for allowing Red to perform with the hat onstage, calling the rapper out for endorsing Trump. The ‘F My Baby Dad’ star responded to the controversy, tweeting: “It’s Sexyy Red [for] President. I’m my own candidate. I’m not endorsing anybody, period.”
Red recently made an appearance on the wrestling TV show WWE: NXT. She helped reveal the brand-new NXT Women’s North American Championship belt as well as be the first celebrity to host the premium live event NXT: Battleground.
Backstage, she took videos with the yellow brand’s head of creative Shawn Michaels – including ones of them singing HBK’s seminal theme song ‘I’m A Sexy Boy’ and twerking.
