Taemin last released solo music in October 2023 with the mini-album ‘Guilty’, led by a title track of the same name. The record included hit song ‘The Rizzness’, and marked his first music since he completed his two years of mandatory military service in April 2023.
In an interview with NME, Taemin shared: “[The single] ‘Guilty’ is about a selfish love that hurts the other person. It’s not coming from my experience, but I used it as a way to define what love is and express it on stage.”
In other SHINee news, bandmate Key most recently released the solo single ‘Tongue Tied’ in June, making it his first solo release in ten months. Prior to that, he came back in September 2023 with the ‘Good & Great’ mini-album. He and the rest of SHINee released music as a group in June 2023 with their eighth full-length album, ‘Hard’.
