Sparks have added more dates to their 2025 UK and Ireland headline tour. Find all the details below.

The US duo – comprising brothers Ron and Russell Mael – are set to hit the road this summer in support of their upcoming studio album ‘Mad!’, which is released on May 23. It’ll mark their first LP on their new label home, Transgressive.

They had already announced two shows at London’s Eventim Apollo (June 18, 19) before a pair of gigs at Manchester’s O2 Apollo (21, 22) and a performance at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall (24).

From there, Sparks are due to play a run of dates across Europe from late June into early July.

Now, the group have confirmed another leg of concerts in the UK and Ireland. They’ll headline Dublin’s National Stadium on July 15 and 16, ahead of a gig at Edinburgh’s Playhouse on July 18.

The stint will conclude with a stop at Wolverhampton’s Civic At The Halls on July 19.

Tickets for the new dates go on general sale at 9am BST this Friday (April 4) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Alternatively, you can find pre-sale information via Ticketmaster and in the post above.

Additionally, Sparks have promised that North American dates are “coming soon”.

Sparks’ 2025 UK and Ireland headline tour dates are:

JUNE

19 – London, Eventim Apollo

JULY

Meanwhile, Sparks have also been announced for Bilbao BBK 2025 in Spain. They’ll play a run of gigs in Japan before heading to the UK in June.

In a four-star review of Sparks’ previous album, 2023’s ‘The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte’, NME called the record “a reminder that even now, Sparks are completely content with boldly going first, taking their music into ambitious territory no one else has been before, making it easier for other acts to (hopefully) follow suit”.

The band had previously reflected on their time working with director Edgar Wright for the 2021 career-spanning documentary The Sparks Brothers. During an interview with NME that year, Ron Mael explained: “Cinema has always been a part of us. The idea of exploding, having something grandiose and colourful and dramatic is something that really had an effect on us.”

The group would go on to win Best Music Film at the BandLab NME Awards in 2022.

In other news, Morrissey has hit out at Sparks – calling them “headless Palisades savages who threw their old friends into hot molten lava for sexy kicks”.
