Taylor Swift Says She’s ‘So Moved’ by Single Mother’s ‘Vulnerable’ TikTok About Daughter
Taylor Swift had some emotional words for one Swiftie on TikTok.
Replying to a fan named Jenny, a single mother who’d made a video about her and her 9-year-old daughter’s shared love for the singer, Swift commented on Thursday (Dec. 21), “you just reminded me of why this year has been so special.” “I’m so moved by what you said,” the 12-time Grammy winner added. “It reminds me of me and my mom and the memories we made at that age.”
In the TikTok, Jenny tearfully introduces herself by saying she’s “been a fan forever,” noting that Swift “saved my life growing up.” “I have a 9-year-old daughter who is everything,” she continued, addressing the pop star directly. “And she looks up to you for everything, and your song ‘Mean’ is getting her through bullies at school.”
Jenny went on to explain that she and her daughter had the “best year” together, largely thanks to the way they bonded over Swift’s music, Eras Tour shows and concert film, which they saw together more than five times in theaters. “You get a lot of s–t that you don’t deserve, and I don’t think you get to see the impact you have on people,” she concluded. “You have changed my mom heart and have brought my daughter and I closer together.”
“Thank you so much for sharing this,” the “Anti-Hero” singer added in a second comment. “Being vulnerable enough to share your true emotions is a beautiful thing. Happy Holidays.”
Upon seeing Swift’s replies, Jenny and her daughter shared an adorable video dancing in the car together to the musician’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) hit “Is It Over Now?” “Is this real?!” she captioned the clip.
