Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Film to Head to Los Angeles for World Premiere
Swifties are less than a month away until Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated Eras Tour concert film hits theaters, and AMC Theaters announced that they will be hosting a glitzy world premiere for the movie in Los Angeles on Oct. 11, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
While there’s no confirmation that Swift will be walking the red carpet, the Hollywood premiere will take place just two days before the film opens in more than 100 countries on Oct. 13.
According to a press release from AMC Theatres, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour has broken all existing records for single-day advance ticket sales revenue in the chain’s 103-year history with $26 million in the first 24 hours of on-sale. The $26 million figure also crushes the previous record for one-day sales for a single title, blowing by 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, which racked up $16.9 million in its first 24 hours; according to AMC, The Eras Tour movie bested the the Spider-Man numbers in its first three hours of on-sale. Swift herself also posted a trailer for the film, writing, “The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon.
