Tekashi 6ix9ine is being sued for revenge porn allegations
Tekashi 6ix9ine is being sued for revenge porn allegations.
The 27-year-old rapper – real name Daniel Hernández – was sued by his ex-girlfriend Jorgina Lulu Guillermo Diaz on Thursday (September 19) on allegations that he posted revenge porn of her online and physically and emotionally abused her during the course of their relationship.
A lawsuit filed in federal court alleges that Tekashi beat, drugged and stole from Diaz, per Rolling Stone. The listed causes of action in the suit are nonconsensual pornography, battery, fraud and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
“Defendant has waged an appalling campaign of abuse against her – seeking to dominate, control, and harm her; alienate her from her family and friends; and rob her of hundreds of thousands of dollars of her hard-earned money,” the suit says. Diaz is seeking at least $1 million in damages.
Diaz has claimed that she ended her relationship with the rapper after discovering the alleged theft. The suit claims that, in retaliation, Tekashi posted “private, intimate, and sexually explicit videos and photographs of Plaintiff” on Twitter/X. The videos were then removed by Diaz’s management but were allegedly posted again by Tekashi before being removed a second time.
“Defendant was the only person in possession of this recording prior to its release, and his long history of abuse and control of Plaintiff confirms that he is responsible for the video’s publication,” the suit said.
The suit also claims that Takashi was physically, emotionally and sexually abusive towards Diaz “within the first month of their relationship in 2023.”
Diaz alleges that she was struck by Takashi at various times, including at the baptism of her daughter. Legal documents allege that the “defendant punched Plaintiff and threatened to throw her from a balcony in front of Plaintiff’s family and friends”.
The suit alleges that Hernandez told Diaz “she was to blame for his violence toward her” and that “she was worthless without him” and “no other partner would be interested in plaintiff”, the suit said. Diaz also claims that Tekashi coerced her into getting multiple cosmetic surgeries, including liposuction, because he was “unsatisfied with her looks”.
Diaz’s suit references her own arrest in December 2023. She claims she’d reacted after Hernandez “effectively imprisoned” her at his home by refusing to give Diaz her passport and money.
Tekashi has denied the claims to TMZ.
The rapper was arrested in the Dominican Republic in January in relation to domestic violence, (per Associated Press). He was later conditionally released.
This is not the first time 6ix9ine has had a run-in with the law in the Dominican Republic. Last October, the artist was arrested in the country after allegedly assaulting two people, including his music producer.
In March 2023, three men were arrested in connection with an allegedly assaulting the rapper at a South Florida gym.
The assault left the rapper with several injuries to his face and bruising from the incident, his lawyer Lance Lazzaro previously said.
The alleged assault came after 6ix9ine was previously convicted after pleading guilty to his involvement with the Nine Trey Bloods gang, which included charges ranging from drug trafficking to firearm offences.
In December 2019, he was sentenced to 24 months in prison but served a few months after a judge granted him a motion for compassionate release over his COVID health risks.
Hernandez’s lawyer said at the time that he planned to ensure that the rapper got some protection after he was released from federal prison in April 2020.
