‘The Bear’ season four release date confirmed by showrunner
One of the showrunners of The Bear appears to have revealed the release date for the fourth season of the show.
The black comedy-cum-psychology drama series stars Jeremy Allen White as Carmy Berzatto, an award-winning chef who is forced to take over his family’s beef sandwich shop in Chicago after his brother passes away.
The show, which airs on FX in the US and Disney+ in the UK, has been widely celebrated since it’s launch in 2022, winning 21 Emmys and five Golden Globes to date for its three seasons.
Now, Joanna Calo, who is the showrunner of The Bear alongside Christopher Storer, appears to have let slip that the fourth season of the show will debut on June 15 this year.
Calo was speaking on the red carpet of the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Thunderbolts* in Los Angeles, where in response to a question from Omelete about what to expect from the next season, she said: “June 15! June 15 here, but I think everywhere June 15.”

She added: “It’s beautiful. There’s a lot of joy this season, and I think you’re going to be happy. It’s not one of the meaner ones, you know what I mean?”
In a four-star review of The Bear‘s third season, James Mottram wrote for NME: “Cracking along with its usual mix of slow-burns and fast-spurts, the balance in season three is just right. From Marcus poignantly delivering the eulogy at his mother’s funeral to Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) dealing with her father as she settles on a new place to live to the pregnancy of Carmy’s sister Natalie (Abby Elliott), everyone gets a moment or two to shine. Once again, The Bear has come out of the oven baked to perfection; its pursuit of excellence puts other shows to shame.”
Elsewhere, one of the show’s stars Matty Matheson, who plays handyman Neil Fak, has recently launched his own hardcore band Pig Pen, featuring Alexisonfire guitarist Wade MacNeil. They played their first ever show at Sneaky Dees in Toronto on April 25, although they have yet to release any recorded music.
White, meanwhile, is due to star as Bruce Springsteen in Deliver Me From Nowhere in late 2025, a biopic that focuses on the writing and recording of the Boss’ 1982 classic album ‘Nebraska’. The film is being produced by Disney’s 20th Century Studios, and the shoot is happening mostly on location in Springsteen’s native New Jersey and New York.
