‘The Boys’ actor Malcolm Barrett accused of sexual assault
The Boys actor Malcolm Barrett has been accused of sexual assault.
According to TMZ, a woman contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department last weekend, claiming that after a night of drinking with the actor, she woke up in bed to find him touching her. She also reportedly alleged that the actor then had sex with her against her will.
Barrett’s accuser said to police that she had known the actor for months, and they had been out in Los Angeles drinking ahead of the alleged assault, TMZ also reported.
So far no arrests have been made and Barrett is yet to comment publicly on the allegations. NME has contacted representatives for Barrett for comment.
The actor has appeared as Seth Reed who works for Vought International in The Boys, in a recurring role. He also plays Leon Montgomery in the dark comedy drama Average Joe.
He has also appeared in The Changeling, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Santa Clarita Diet, Key And Peele and Better Off Ted.
Meanwhile, The Boys actor Antony Starr, who plays Homelander in the series, recently described how the final season of the show will be “bigger” and “deeper”.
He added: “The more Homelander gets what he wants, the less happy he is. And that really frustrates him. You can expect a real ratcheting up of stakes and emotion, and ‘The Boys’ really have their work cut out for them.”
