Pokémon TCG Pocket and our wallets are already crying at the pain they are feeling looking at all the cards on offer. But some cards are much rarer than others, especially those that are full-art rainbow, gold, or shiny. Which cards out of the full selection available right now in Genetic Apex are the rarest?

That is where this article comes in with a list and a look at all of the rarest cards in the game currently. You can actually find these rarities in-game on the pack selection screen under “Offering Rates”. This guide will continue to be updated over time. You may even find a God Pack, which has several of the rarest cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket in them. But, there is a 0.050% chance your pack is one of them.

‘Pokémon TCG Pocket’ rarest cards

The rarest cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket Genetic Apex are:

  • Crown Charizard EX, Crown Pikachu EX, Crown Mewtwo EX – 0.040% chance: 0.013% per card (4th card, regular pack). 0.160% chance: 0.053% per card (5th card probability rate, regular pack)
  • Immersive Mewtwo EX (Mewtwo Pack) – 0.222% (4th card, regular pack). 0.888% (5th card probability rate, regular pack)
  • Immersive Pikachu EX (Pikachu Pack) – 0.222% (4th card, regular pack). 0.888% (5th card probability rate, regular pack)
  • Immersive Charizard EX (Charizard Pack) – 0.222% (4th card, regular pack). 0.888% (5th card probability rate, regular pack)
  • Full Art Venusaur EX, Full Art Articuno EX, Full Art Gengar EX, Full Art Mewtwo EX, Full Art Marowak EX (Mewtwo Pack) – 0.275% chance: 0.055% per card (4th card, regular pack). 1.111% chance: 0.222% per card (5th card probability rate, regular pack)

  • Rainbow Full Art Articuno EX, Rainbow Full Art Gengar EX (Mewtwo Pack) – 0.110% chance: 0.055% per card (4th card, regular pack). 0.444% chance: 0.222% per card (5th card probability rate, regular pack)
  • Rainbow Full Art Zapdos EX, Rainbow Full Art Wigglytuff EX (Pikachu Pack) – 0.100% chance: 0.050% per card (4th card, regular pack). 0.400% chance: 0.200% per card (5th card probability rate, regular pack)

By far, the rarest cards are the Gold Crown EX variants of Charizard, Pikachu, and Mewtwo. These are not only gold but full art and rainbow cards as well, representing the ultimate prize for any Genetic Apex collector. Functionally, these cards are the same as the regular and full-art EX variants.

The next cards are the Immersive cards, specifically Immersive Mewtwo, Charizard, and Pikachu. These cards have unique visual scenes that you can play that are filled with some of the best artwork in the game. Functionally, these cards are the same as the EX forms of the Pokémon.

Following these EX cards, we have the full art EX cards. These are exactly like the regular EX variants, but they have their own unique art and often look drastically better than the regular ones. The Mewtwo pack includes Venusaur EX, Articuno EX, Gengar EX, Mewtwo EX, and Marowak EX.

The Pikachu pack has access to Arcanine EX, Blastoise EX, Pikachu EX, Zapdos EX, and Wigglytuff EX.

Finally, the Charizard packs have Exeggutor EX, Charizard EX, Moltres EX, Starmie EX, and Machamp EX.

Next are the full art Trainer cards. These are incredible pieces of art that expand the images the characters are seen in, within the main cards. As with other full art cards, these work the same as the regular Trainer Supporter cards but are much, much prettier.

Finally, we have the Rainbow Full Art EX cards, of which there are few compared to the regular full-art EX cards. But they look stunning and offer some beautiful scenes and artwork.
