The Weeknd walks towards the light in new ‘Dancing In The Flames’ video
The Weeknd has premiered ‘Dancing In The Flames’, the first single from his new album ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ – you can check it out below.
Today (September 13), the Canadian pop-R&B star unveiled the music video for ‘Dancing In The Flames’, marking the first official release from this forthcoming record.
In the video, The Weeknd is seen cruising down a road in the rain before crashing his car and being flung from the vehicle. The singer starts to see a beacon of lighting and begins dashing toward it. It turns out to be the lights from an oncoming ambulance, and the video fades to black.

Despite sharing the album’s lead single, a release date for ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ has yet to be announced.
The artist – real name Abel Tesfaye – has been teasing new music since January, when he suggested that the upcoming third chapter to his ongoing ‘After Hours’ and ‘Dawn FM’ trilogy was on the way in a series of social media posts.
A statement about the new album said that it “represents the creative apex of the project, serving as the third and final chapter crafted with existential and self-referential themes as seen with the latest visionary teasers that have set fans ablaze with anticipation for this concluding instalment.”
This past weekend, he performed a concert in São Paulo, where he debuted brand new music, a stage setup and new visuals to usher in his new era. See the full list of what he performed here.
Before the São Paulo concert, The Weeknd also unveiled the artwork for ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ on social media. It features a simple close-up shot of his face, a departure from the facial prosthetics seen in his ‘After Hours’ era.
In a four-star review of 2022’s ‘Dawn FM’, NME wrote that the album “feels like the first steps on a journey for The Weeknd to find peace with himself; perhaps next time we hear from him, he’ll be fully embracing the light of day”.
