Fans of The White Lotus are claiming that Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins have fallen out.

It comes after the duo, who played the couple Chelsea and Rick in season three of the HBO drama which ended with both characters being killed, no longer appear to be following each other on Instagram.

This has led many fans to speculate that they have fallen out off camera.

“I feel like no one is talking about the falling out of them?” one user posted on a Reddit thread.

“They unfollowed each other on insta a couple weeks ago, walton posts white lotus stuff and tags everyone in the photos except aimee lou wood, posts a whole tribute to white lotus and still doesn’t tag her, posts tons of pictures of her on his story in a commemorative tribute to the show. what happened?”

“They used to idolize each other and talk about each other in such positive light in interviews and such, it’s so weird that all of a sudden there’s this switch up?”

Another fan on X also wrote: “Aimee lou wood follows 5,160 people on instagram and none of them are walton goggins…,” while another wrote: “Walton Goggins not tagging Aimee but tagging everyone else… WHAT HAPPENED.”

Although Goggins did thank his co-star in a lengthy post about Rick and Chelsea’s demise, many fans pointed out that Wood wasn’t tagged in the post while the rest of The White Lotus cast were.

Some have also theorised that Goggins has blocked Wood, as her comments no longer show up under his posts, although, apparently, his comments are still visible on her posts.

Despite the rumours, both actors have been very positive about each other in interviews with Wood telling The Hollywood Reporter of Goggins’ decision not to attend the cast’s season-finale watch party: “I was sad that Walton wasn’t there because it was something that we did together, but also it’s so fucking Rick and Chelsea.”

She added: “Like, of course Walton had to watch it alone and of course I had to watch it in the group because there is so much Aimee in Chelsea and so much Walton in Rick.”

Neither actor has yet commented publicly about the fan theories.

Elsewhere, Wood recently said she does not want fans to think of her character Chelsea in The White Lotus as a “victim”.

“People love Chelsea and now they’re angry that she was put in harm’s way by Rick,” she said. “But she was not put in harm’s way by Rick, she was put in harm’s way by herself. So, she’s not a victim, she’s like many of the tragic heroines that I adore.”

Fans of the show were shocked by the reveal of the body teased in the first episode, as well as the shooter. White has also said that he wants to do an all-stars season of the show.
