The White Lotus season three has been confirmed for a 2025 release.

Warner Bros. Discovery global streaming chief JB Perrette, said at a tech and media conference hosted by Wells Fargo yesterday (December 3) (via Deadline) that the HBO show would be returning next February.

The cast includes Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey and BLACKPINK’s Lisa. Natasha Rothwell will also return, having been a presence in season one.

The third season was first teased back in August and then again in a HBO Max show trailer last month.

In the segment in the latter clip, BLACKPINK singer Lisa is seen playing a Thai resort manager named Mook who greets the new guests coming to the iconic hotel. “Welcome to The White Lotus in Thailand, ka,” she says in the clip.

The upcoming season was filmed and is set in Lisa’s homeland of Thailand, with her role also marking the Thai K-pop idol’s acting debut. In a previous interview with ElleLisa shared what viewers and fans can expect of the upcoming third season of The White Lotus.

“It’s pretty new to me, but I think it’s similar to shooting music videos. I’m excited for my fans to see it,” she added. The ‘Rockstar’ singer also said that filming the series in various locations in Thailand was a great opportunity “to be back home, to have Thai food every day”.

Earlier this year, HBO announced that it would be recasting a role in season three that had originally been given to Serbian actor Miloš Biković.

They did not explain why the decision was made, but it followed accusations against the actor by the Ukraine Ministry of Foreign Affairs in January that he had been a supporter of Russia’s invasion of the country.

Biković responded by saying: “Today, a targeted campaign has been unleashed against me, seemingly as an external manoeuver to influence decisions that can create a disturbing precedent shadowing the essence of artistic freedom.”

“The result of such a narrative is the triumph of absurdity and the defeat of art.”

“I grew up in a war-torn country,” the actor added. “At the age of 11 I endured days and nights in shelters while my homeland and my hometown were bombed. And could never wish such devastation on anyone.”
