These big films and TV shows are coming to Netflix in September

With the summer drawing to a close, the streaming services are preparing their latest batch of new arrivals for the autumn – check out what is coming to Netflix in September.

Among the most anticipated new additions will be the concluding half of the new season of Emily In Paris. The rom-com drama returned for its fourth season earlier this month, with the first five episodes dropping on August 15.

On September 12, the remaining five episodes of the season will be added for Netflix subscribers, with Lily Collins’ marketing executive Emily Cooper’s narrative arc coming full circle.

Also on its way next month is The Perfect Couple, a new mystery drama series starring Nicole Kidman. An adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s 2018 novel, it follows Eve Hewson’s Amelia, who is about to marry into a wealthy family to the disapproval of the family’s matriarch Greer (Kidman).

On the morning of the wedding, one of the members of the wedding party is found dead on the beach, and a six-episode miniseries will follow the drama from there. Liev Schreiber and Dakota Fanning co-star in the show, which will arrive on Netflix on September 5.

Another big new arrival will be Nobody Wants This, a new comedy series created by Erin Foster and starring Kristen Bell (The Good Place, Veronica Mars), Adam Brody (Shazam!, The O.C.) and Timothy Simons (Veep).

It is centred on the unlikely relationship between Bell’s Joanne, an outspoken agnostic, and Brody’s Noah, a maverick rabbi. The show hits Netflix on September 26.

Netflix have also secured festival hit His Three Daughters, a drama film starring Elizabeth Olsen, Carrie Coon and Natasha Lyonne as three estranged sisters who return home to care for their ailing father.

Directed by Azazel Jacobs (French Exit, The Lovers), it will receive a limited theatrical run from September 6 and then premiere on Netflix on September 20.
