Tony and Carmela Soprano reunite in lost video made for Lebron James
A lost video has shown Tony and Carmela Soprano back together, all in the name of Lebron James.
Though Tony was last seen in The Sopranos final episode in 2007, it turns out he made one more appearance after that.
Back in 2010, a video was made to encourage NBA player Lebron James to sign with the New York Knicks. James had just entered free agency for the first time ever, and the Knicks were eager to sign him.
As the story goes, the Knicks execs put together a video to convince the legendary basketball player, a strategy which included featuring plenty of New York celebrities at the time including Chris Rock, Harvey Weinstein and former US President Donald Trump. However, no one has ever seen the video – until now.
Thanks to reporter Pablo Torre, you can now watch James Gandolfini and Edie Falco team up one more time. According to the video, The Sopranos are now living in New York – albeit under a witness protection programme – and are now finding a place for their friend, LeBron James. Have a watch below:
Recently, The Sopranos creator David Chase has confirmed the show will not be returning again. Since the show’s end in 2007, there has been a 2021 prequel film called The Many Saints Of Newark.
However, when asked whether there would be any more material after Newark, Chase simply responded: “No. The prequel was it.”
In NME’s four-star review, The Many Saints Of Newark is described as “both a loving tribute and worthy expansion of the mob epic’s world” with a “gripping story that’s more than capable of standing on its own”.
Elsewhere, Tony Soprano’s booth from his final episode went up for auction in March.
