‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4’ won’t include OG Bam Margera

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is missing OG Bam Margera

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 was officially announced earlier this week (March 4) but it seems that OG skater Bam Margera won’t be making a return.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 was originally released in 2000 with the fourth game in the franchise coming the following year. Now, a new game featuring remastered versions of those titles has been confirmed to launch later this year.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 will feature new levels, new music and new features but will also include a lot of familiar faces.

“Choose from a legendary pro skater roster that includes Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, Steve Caballero, Kareem Campbell, Geoff Rowley, Andrew Reynolds, Elissa Steamer, Chad Muska, Eric Koston, Rodney Mullen, Jamie Thomas, Rune Glifberg and Bob Burnquist, or opt for the new skaters, including Rayssa Leal, Chloe Covell, Jamie Foy, Zion Wright, and Yuto Horigome,” reads the announcement from publishers Activision. “And, in true Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater fashion, there will be secrets to unlock.”

However CKY and Jackass star Bam Margera isn’t mentioned in the above list, despite being a playable character in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and giving out missions in 4

In 2022, Bam Margera was fired from Jackass Forever following a positive drugs test and was later placed on involuntary psychiatric hold by police. At the end of 2023, he revealed he’d been sober for 120 days thanks to the help of actor Mark Wahlberg.

Following the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 announcement, Hawk shared an instagram story of him skating with Bam Margera. “Testing the Gap Line (but still committing” he wrote alongside the clip.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 will be released July 11 and will be available on PC as well as PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch consoles. It will also be a Day One launch on Xbox Game Pass.

In other news, it doesn’t look like Nintendo will be announcing any new games this Mario day, with no Direct planned as part of the celebrations.
