Tony Visconti and Woody Woodmansey announce ‘A Celebration Of David Bowie’ 2025 UK tour
Tony Visconti and Woody Woodmansey have announced details of a new UK tour for 2025, which will see them celebrate the music and life of David Bowie. Find out details below.
Visconti was Bowie’s long-time producer and friend, as well as the bass player on ‘The Man Who Sold The World’, while Woodmansey was one of the Spider From Mars and the artist’s drummer from between 1970 and 1973.
Together they will hit the road as part of the supergroup Holy Holy, and set to perform live renditions of the very best of the David Bowie catalogue.
The dates kick off later this spring, and will see the musicians break out sets that span across the legendary singer’s catalogue – ranging from his ambitious beginnings through to his later hits like ‘Blackstar’. A number of deep cuts are set to be played too, as well as the most famous hits.
Shows commence with an opening night at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on May 15, and continue throughout the remainder of the month. This includes slots in Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle and more.
Eight shows in total are planned, and the tour wraps up with a closing night at Liverpool’s O2 Academy on May 31. Visit here for tickets and find a list of dates below.

The announcement of the tour comes after Woodmansey spoke to NME back in 2016, recalling his last contact with the ‘Blackstar’ icon before his death.
The drummer said that the last time Bowie in the flesh was during the recording of ‘Low’ at the start of the ‘Berlin Trilogy’ in 1976.
“I was in France doing some sessions and he was in the château, and I knew Tony was producing,” he recalled. “I hadn’t spoken to Tony for quite a while, so I phoned him up and we had a chat. I came down to the studio to meet him and David and spent a good half an hour on our own just chatting in between one of his recording sessions. That was good, we put a lot of things to right, we parted as friends again basically.”
Woodmansey also spoke to NME to reveal how he and Visconti turned down the chance to perform with Lady Gaga for her Grammys tribute show in 2016 – slamming it as ‘tacky’ and claiming it ‘didn’t represent anything good about him’.
Bowie passed away in January at the age of 69.
