Tracklist revealed for SOPHIE’s posthumous album
The complete tracklist for SOPHIE‘s self-titled posthumous album has been revealed – check out the full list of songs below.
Yesterday (September 17), the late musician’s estate revealed on social media the posthumous record’s tracklist to celebrate what would’ve bene her 38th birthday.
The hyper-pop pioneer and PC Music affiliate (full name Sophie Xeon) tragically passed away on January 30, 2021 aged 34 following her accidental fall from a three storey building in Athens.
The eponymous posthumous album for the producer was announced in June this year. It will be released September 27 via Transgressive Records and Future Classic, with the help of her brother and long-time studio manager Benny Long.
‘SOPHIE’ will consist of 16 songs and will feature collaborations from artists such as Nina Kraviz, Kim Petras, Juliana Huxtable, Jozzy, BIG SISTER, BC KINGDOM, Popstar, Evita Manji and more.

The tracklist reveal comes after the musician was honoured by Google Doodle with a short video for her 38th birthday. Soundtracked by ‘Immaterial’, taken from her debut album ‘Oil Of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides‘, the clip depicts various portraits of SOPHIE and her Monomachine, the synthesiser she used to make her inimitable and evocative sounds from.
Earlier this year, Charli XCX paid tribute to the producer on the song ‘So I’ from her latest album ‘Brat’. The track explores Charli’s regrets about the insecurities that prevented her from collaborating as closely with SOPHIE as she wanted to. “There was a lot of distance between us because I was in awe of her and wanted to impress her,” she told The Face earlier this year.
Elsewhere, St. Vincent paid homage to SOPHIE on her most recent LP ‘All Born Screaming’. The artist – aka Annie Clark – was moved to write the track ‘Sweetest Fruit’ after reading an article about the producer’s tragic death.
In a four-star review of ‘Oil Of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides’, NME praised the record for “crossing boundaries of pop music and chasing transcendence”. It read: “SOPHIE achieves the rare feat of making abstract, difficult electronic music that hits you straight in the heart.”
