Travis Kelce Reacts to the Bump for Brother Jason’s ‘Kelce’ Documentary in Light of ‘Taylor Swift Drama’

Travis Kelce’s football jersey isn’t the only thing seeing a major bump in light of the rumors of him dating Taylor Swift. His brother Jason’s Prime Video documentary, Kelce, is also getting a boost in viewership following the pop star’s attendance at recent Kansas City Chiefs games.

“How crazy is that?” Travis said on the Wednesday (Oct. 11) episode of the brothers’ New Heights podcast.

“All because of you and me,” quipped Jason — who plays center for the Philadelphia Eagles — adding sarcastically, “Doesn’t have anything to do with this Taylor Swift drama.”

Kelce premiered on the streamer on Sept. 12. According to Deadline, the documentary quickly became Prime Video’s most-watched documentary ever in the United States, and has remained in the top five movies on the platform in three weeks since its release.

The documentary’s boost in numbers tracks. Swift first watched Travis play during the the Chiefs’ Sept. 24 game against the Chicago Bears. The “Anti-Hero” singer’s outing further sparked dating rumors, as she was spotted in private seats next to Travis’ and Jason’s mother Donna Kelce.

Following Swift’s eventful appearance at the Chiefs-Bears game, she later attended the teams’ Oct. 1 game against the New York Jets, and Kelce’s football jersey sales saw a bump in sales. “Yesterday, Travis Kelce was one of the top five selling NFL players and saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com,” a spokesperson for the NFL’s official e-commerce partner, Fanatics, said in a Sept. 25 statement according to CNN.

The Swift Effect even extended to brands, with Heinz creating a limited-edition Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch bottle (a rebrand of their existing Kranch flavor) to honor the pop star’s choice of condiments at the Sept. 24 game.

Travis, however, did not offer any additional information about him and Swift on the latest podcast episode. “Everybody is just so interested in the family dynamic!” he playfully responded to his brother.
