Travis Scott released from police custody after incident at Paris hotel
Rapper Travis Scott has been released from French police custody without a charge after his arrest.
On Friday (August 9), it was reported that Scott had been arrested following a fight with a security guard at a hotel in Paris. Scott was in the French capital to attend the Olympic Games, where he was seen at the U.S. men’s basketball game alongside Quavo.
In a statement (via Billboard), the Paris prosecutor’s office said: “The police custody order for Travis Scott has been lifted and all proceedings were terminated because the incident was minor.”

Sources close to Scott went on to confirm the ‘Sicko Mode’ rapper was released with no charge, and that there were no injuries to any party involved, meaning there were also no plans to charge him in the future.
The Houston rapper was reportedly set to meet up with internet personality and Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, who he has previously joined for streams. Following Scott’s arrest, footage emerged on X/Twitter of Cenat asking French police to free him.
“Listen, listen, listen,” he says to a French police officer in one clip. “All I have got to say, bro. Please just free Travis right now.”

It’s the latest in a string of legal issues for Scott, who, back in June, was also reportedly arrested in Miami for “disorderly intoxication and trespassing”.
According to jail booking records (per NBC News), the ‘Goosebumps’ rapper was arrested on June 20 for disorderly intoxication in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Scott – real name Jacques Bermon Webster – was then taken into custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at roughly 4:30am. Along with the charge of disorderly intoxication, he was also booked for trespassing property after warning (per Sky News).
According to Daily Mail, the rapper submitted a $650 (£513) bond – comprised of $500 (£395) for his trespass charge and $150 (£118) for disorderly intoxication.
Elsewhere, it was previously announced that the trial for Astroworld’s final wrongful death lawsuit has been officially set for later this year.
