TWICE’s Jihyo goes through relationship blues in ‘Killin’ Me Good’ MV
South Korean singer Jihyo, from K-pop girl group TWICE, has made her solo debut with ‘Killin’ Me Good’.
The music video for Jihyo’s ‘Killin’ Me Good’ chronicles the ups and downs of a relationship, from beautiful beginnings to a bitter break-up. Between the narrative scenes, the clip is intercut with shots of sleek choreography.
“You’re killin’ me, killin’ me good / You’re makin’ me feel something new / Hey, you’re makin’ me feel so brand new,” she sings in the chorus.
‘Killin’ Me Good’ is a cut from Jihyo’s new solo mini-album ‘ZONE’. Other notably songs on the project includes ‘Talkin’ About It’ featuring 24kGoldn and the Heize duet ‘Don’t Wanna Go Back’.
Jihyo is the second member of TWICE to make her official solo debut, after vocalist Nayeon released her debut EP ‘Im Nayeon’ and its lead single ‘POP!’ in June 2022.
Additionally, member Chaeyoung hinted during a March 2023 interview that the group and its members would be releasing more solo projects moving forward.
TWICE’s latest release as a group had been their March mini-album ‘Ready To Be’, which was led by the single ‘Set Me Free’. In support of its release, the group later embarked on their ‘Ready To Be’ world tour the following month with a two-night concert in Seoul.
