TWS to release new music in June, their label confirms
Rookie K-pop boyband TWS are preparing to release new music in June, their label Pledis Entertainment has confirmed.
Today (May 3), TWS’ agency Pledis Entertainment told Korea JoongAng Daily that the six-member K-pop boyband – comprising members Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon and Kyungmin – are set to release a new album soon.
“TWS are currently preparing for a comeback, aiming to pre-release a song in early June,” said Pledis Entertainment, adding that specific dates will be announced at a later time. In addition, according to a report by Ilgan Sports, the boyband are currently in Hong Kong filming a music video for their upcoming single.
TWS made their debut back in January with their mini-album ‘Sparkling Blue’, which was led by the single ‘Plot Twist’. They are the first boyband Pledis Entertainment has launched in nine years, following the debut of SEVENTEEN in 2015.
Last month, the 2024 WeVerse Con Festival announced that the rookie act will be performing at this year’s festival in June. Other acts on the line-up include fellow HYBE acts fromis_9, SEVENTEEN, LE SSERAFIM and more as well as international artists like imase and YOASOBI.
In other Pledis Entertainment news, SEVENTEEN released their first-ever compilation album ‘17 Is Right Here’ earlier this week along with a music video for new single ‘Maestro’. At a press conference for the release, the boyband teased a “jam-packed” year ahead, including a new album and world tour.
Meanwhile, Sunmi has announced that she will be making her long-awaited comeback this June with a single titled ‘Balloon in Love’. The upcoming song will be the former Wonder Girls singer’s first release since her October 2023 digital single ‘Stranger’.
