TXT’s Soobin says the boyband “went through a rough patch” in 2022

South Korean singer Soobin of K-pop boyband Tomorrow X Together (TXT) has opened up about the group’s dynamics in a new interview.

Speaking to Weverse Magazine, TXT’s Soobin touched on how the boyband had gone through what he described as “a rough patch” at some point in 2022.

While the singer did not delve into the details of the rough patch or what might have caused it, he revealed that they overcame it by the end of that year. “I felt our companionship was particularly strong while we practiced for the year-end awards shows,” he said.

“We were having a lot of honest conversations about our innermost feelings. We weren’t in Korea that much at the time, so I think we relied on each other a lot,” Soobin added.

Later, the TXT member also spoke about how he’s “thankful” when his members approach him to talk through issues, saying that it make him “feel like they trust me and rely on me”.

“They mostly come to me when they’re facing some kind of difficulty, whether it’s personal or something related to the group, or when they just want to talk,” he explained. “And I’m usually the one who goes to the label as our representative when we want to propose an idea to them.”

However, Soobin also admitted that he usually “tend[s] to keep any baggage to myself if sharing it isn’t going to solve anything”, while saying that sometimes “the other members feel hurt by that though”.

In other TXT news, the boyband recently made their return with the album ‘The Name Chapter: FREEFALL’. The record was led by the single ‘Chasing That Feeling’.

Meanwhile, member Yeonjun previously opened up about the currently K-pop landscape, saying that he believes “boy groups are less favoured by the public” as compared to girl groups.
