Vampire Weekend and Sabrina Carpenter to perform on ‘Saturday Night Live’
Vampire Weekend and Sabrina Carpenter are set to perform on Saturday Night Live this month.
The hit NBC variety show has confirmed the hosts and musical guests for the final two episodes of season 49.
Next week’s edition (May 11) will see Maya Rudolph on presenting duties as Vampire Weekend return to the SNL stage for the fourth time, following appearances in 2008, 2010 and 2013. They’ll showcase music from their fifth album ‘Only God Was Above Us’.
SNL is then due to wrap up its current season on May 18, with actor Jake Gyllenhaal hosting for the third time. He previously led episodes in 2007 and 2022.
Carpenter will take to the stage to perform live on the finale, marking her SNL debut. She recently released the hit single ‘Espresso’ and played at Coachella 2024.

Dua Lipa is set to pull double duty on this week’s edition of Saturday Night Live (May 4) in support of her third album ‘Radical Optimism’, released today (3). It’ll mark the singer’s third time on the show as the musical guest and her first time hosting.
Vampire Weekend began a run of North American dates last month with a special show in Austin, Texas, which coincided with the total solar eclipse.
They later made a last-minute surprise appearance at the first weekend of Coachella 2024, where Paris Hilton joined the band on stage.

Vampire Weekend will perform at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton later this month. Other festival appearances for the season include Primavera Sound, Kilby Block Party and Hinterland.
