Warner Chappell Music Promotes Gabz Landman to Senior VP of A&R
Warner Chappell Music (WCM) has promoted Gabz Landman to senior vp of A&R at the company. News of Landman’s promotion comes just weeks after her longtime management and publishing client, Amy Allen, took home the Grammy for songwriter of the year, making her the first-ever woman to receive the honor.
Landman got her start in the music industry interning at Billboard and eventually worked her way up to creative director at TAP Management, where she played a key role in the development of then-budding star Dua Lipa. After that, Landman jumped over to the label business, serving as vp of A&R at Warner Records before starting her publishing career at WCM in 2022. Since joining the publisher, Landman has built up a formidable roster of hitmakers including Laufey, The Chainsmokers, John Ryan, Justin Tranter, Kenya Grace, Elie Rizk, Cleo Tighe and Allen.
Landman reports to Ryan Press, president of North America at WCM. Press said of her new appointment: “Gabz is one of the most talented, passionate, and driven A&R leaders out there. Her relentless ambition, combined with her thoughtful and intentional approach to nurturing and developing songwriters, truly sets her apart.”
Landman added: “I have so much gratitude for Warner Chappell. Ryan, Guy, Carianne, and the entire team have continuously supported and empowered me, and I’ve had the privilege of working with the best colleagues and creators in the business, who have become like family. The songwriter and producer community have always had my heart and being in a position to advocate for them every day and elevate their careers is a dream come true. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to continue to do what I love.”
