Watch Suki Waterhouse cover Oasis’ ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ at London’s All Points East after “it didn’t hit the same” at Coachella

Suki Waterhouse

Suki Waterhouse played an Oasis classic during her set at All Points East – watch footage below.

While supporting Mitski on Sunday (18 August) the singer and actor performed the ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’ track ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’, which she told the crowd went far differently when she tried it at a Californian festival.

After the mass singalong, Waterhouse gratefully told the crowd: “I played that one at Coachella and let me tell you, it didn’t hit the same.”

It comes after she opened for Taylor Swift only a day before, something she said she “manifested“. During an interview with Rolling Stone, she opened up about how it felt to be taking part in the huge ‘Eras Tour’ phenomenon.

“I was dreaming, dreaming, dreaming of this happening,” she told the outlet. “I was manifesting super hard. So when [I found out], I was like, yes, dreams can come true.”

While performing at Victoria Park, she nodded to the dream gig and appeared to recognise one of the gig-goers in the crowd. “I saw you the other day! We’ve literally seen each other like two days in a row. Oh my god. Did you go to ‘Eras’ last night?” she asked the fan.

“I know, I remember you saying you went to Eras last night. That was crazy… we did Wembley last night! That’s like just about the craziest thing that’s ever happened to me.”

Fellow Swift openers Paramore played ‘Decode’ at Wembley Stadium, with frontwoman Hayley Williams dedicating the track to Waterhouse’s fiancée, Robert Pattinson.

“Suki killed it earlier. But I’d like to dedicate this next song to Mr. Waterhouse. He has the skin of a killer, Bella,” Williams said, in a nod to Twilight.

Waterhouse is due to release her second studio album, ‘Memoir Of A Sparklemuffin’, on September 13 via Sub Pop (pre-order/pre-save here). It’ll contain the recent single ‘Blackout Drunk’.
