Watch Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce rock out to The Darkness’ ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’ at the US Open
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were spotted rocking out to The Darkness‘ ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’ while attending the US Open.
Yesterday (September 8), the ‘Bejeweled’ singer was spotted alongside Kelce – her boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs tight end – at the US Open at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, NY for the men’s single final at the annual tennis tournament.
While in their VIP suite, cameras caught Swift – who was sporting dark sunglasses and a red-and-white checkered sundress – and Kelce – who was rocking in a Gucci bucket hat – belting out the lyrics and dancing along to The Darkness’ 2003 hit mid-match.

Este Haim of rock trio Haim was also spotted in the suite sitting in front of Swift and Kelce. She also took a minute to sing and dance along to the track’s explosive chorus.
This is not the first time the ‘Love Story’ singer has rocked out the track. Back in 2016, Swift was featured in an advert for Apple Music in which she lip-synced to the song and danced around a home office.
Speaking to Billboard about the advert at the time, The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins said: “I didn’t think we could get any sexier, but somehow Taylor raised the bar! Taylor Swift used to come to a lot of our shows back in the day. It’s good to see she hasn’t given up on her roots! Take it to the bridge, Swiftmeisteress!”
While sharing his reaction to Swift’s 2022 track ‘Anti-Hero’ from her 10th studio album ‘Midnights’ on his YouTube channel, Hawkins shared: “It’s really cool. I enjoy a lot of her music anyway. I think she makes really excellent pop music and this is no exception.
In other news, Elton John recently revealed that he would love to collaborate with Swift, and went on to praise her, calling her the biggest “phenomenon” since The Beatles.
Speaking to Variety in a new interview, John said: “She’s a great songwriter, she’s a great artist and she’s a phenomenon. I’ve never seen a phenomenon like that since the Beatles, and she works her ass off, so good luck. Good luck to her.”
Megan Thee Stallion also recently shared that she would also like to collaborate with Swift, saying that “she’s a stallion too”.
