Watch the first trailer for Tom Hardy thriller ‘Havoc’

Tom Hardy Havoc

The teaser trailer for Tom Hardy’s Netflix action-thriller Havoc has been unveiled, ahead of the film’s release on April 25.

The film is directed by Gareth Evans, with Hardy being joined by co-stars Timothy Olyphant, and Forest Whitaker. The 59-second clip features Hardy in a number of exciting action scenes, with car chases and gunfire, while also facing off with Oscar-winner Whitaker. “Don’t forget, I know what you did” Whitaker’s character threatens before Hardy ominously replies “You have no idea what I did”.

The official synopsis reads: “Walker (Tom Hardy) is a bruised detective fighting his way through the criminal underworld threatening to engulf his entire city. In the aftermath of a drug deal gone wrong, Walker finds himself with a number of factions on his tail; a vengeful crime syndicate, a crooked politician, as well as his fellow cops. When attempting to rescue the politician’s estranged son, whose involvement in the drug deal starts to unravel a deep web of corruption and conspiracy, he is forced to confront the demons of his past”.

The film brings together two big talents in the action genre – Hardy, famous for his tough roles in films like Legend and Lawless; and Evans, who is considered one of the most exciting writer-directors around following the cult success of The Raid movies and his TV series Gangs Of London.

The film was shot in Wales in 2021, with a press release from the Welsh government heralding it as one of the biggest movies ever to be shot in the country.

As well as Havoc, Hardy is also working on an as yet unnamed Guy Ritchie series. Late last year, it was reported he offered to step in and pay wages owed to its crew.
