The trailer kicks off with Butcher (Karl Urban) revealing that he’s running out of time to live due to a weakened heart as he rallies the gang for an assault on Homelander (Anthony Starr) and the supes community.
It then delves into spoiler territory, revealing a prominent element that was featured in season one of its spin-off, Gen V. The rest of the trailer shows everything you’d come to expect from The Boys, including action, superpowers and a whole lot of blood and violence.

Season four of The Boys is due to premiere on June 13 worldwide exclusively via Prime Video. It is currently unclear if the cast of Gen V will make appearances in the upcoming series, as several key characters from The Boys cameoed in the debut season of Gen V.
Set in the same universe, Gen V is due to begin production on its second season later this month. The show’s producers recently issued a statement that they will not be recasting the role of Andre Anderson after the untimely death of actor Chance Perdomo in March this year.
Instead, the show will be “recrafting” its storylines for season two, and will “honour” the legacy of Perdomo with its second season.
The third season of The Boys scored a four-star review upon its release in 2022, with Ali Shutler writing for NME: “Season three of The Boys toys with the successful formula but maintains jaw-dropping results throughout. Especially with the introduction of musical numbers, a reality TV show and new superhero Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles). It’s still the most adult, most graphic and most fun superhero show around and this bold and batshit run of episodes sees The Boys very much back in town.”
