Troye Sivan and Charli XCX perform together at Wembley

Troye Sivan and Charli XCX have gotten together to perform ‘1999’ at Wembley Stadium.

Last night, Sivan brought his ‘Something To Give Each Other’ tour to Wembley, where he performed the second to last show of his UK and Europe run. Deep into his set, – the last song of his main performance – Sivan brought out Charli XCX for a duet of their 2018 hit collaboration ‘1999’.

Sivan kicked off the song, performing for a few seconds before the lights in the arena went dark. A few seconds later, the LED screen lit up to reveal Charli XCX’s presence.

Prior to Charli XCX’s appearance onstage, she was spotted in the crowd, enjoying the show with Lordewith whom she’s recently released a new version of ‘Girl, so confusing’.

Earlier on in the show, Sivan brought out another special guest: Ross Lynch. Lynch had famously starred in the Australian pop star’s ‘One Of Your Girls’ music video.

In a four-star review of ‘Brat’NME wrote earlier this month: “On the self-described “club record”, XCX offers pure party girl hedonism. Percolating beats, brash synths, left-field production and vocal lines that flit between bratty quips or honest one-liners.”

“With ‘Brat’, XCX demonstrates that going her own way will always sound pretty good,” it added.

In a glowing five-star review of Sivan’s ‘Something To Give Each Other’, NME wrote: “Above all, it’s a strikingly vital pop album charged with love, lust, sweat and regret. You won’t need a bosh of poppers to feel thoroughly intoxicated.”
