Watch Wet Leg’s punchy ‘Catch These Fists’ performance on ‘Fallon’

Wet Leg have performed their latest single ‘Catch These Fists’ on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon – check it out below.

Last night (April 2), Wet Leg returned to the Tonight Show, where they performed their newly released single, ‘Catch These Fists’, off their upcoming sophomore album, ‘Moisturizer’.

For their thunderous performance, Rhian Teasdale ditched her guitar and picked up mixed martial arts-esque gloves and sported a getup inspired by cage fighters. She sings over the chorus: “I know all too well just what you’re like / I don’t want your love, I just wanna fight“.

The Isle Of Wight band will release the follow-up to their 2022 self-titled debut album on July 11 on various formats including a limited edition 3D gatefold cream coloured vinyl with a signed photo, picture disc vinyl, standard vinyl, cassette, CD and digitally. You can pre-order/pre-save the record here.

‘Catch These Fists’ marks the first single off ‘Moisturizer’. The band first debuted new material from the record at a tiny gig in Brighton last month, performing seven tracks from the album. Other songs they debuted included ‘Jen Bod’, ‘Dave Nah’ and ‘Lovestruck’ – check out footage here.

According to a press release ‘Moisturizer’, which sees all five members contributing to the album, is “fun and freaky and fabulous” and “it is an album of manic love songs and well-timed kiss-offs, delivered by a clan of the UK’s most beloved oddballs.”

It also “contains love songs of every stripe: stressed-out, gooey-eyed, gratuitously horny, blissed out, obsessive and mysterious.”

The band recently also announced a UK tour, which is set to kick off at O2 Academy Birmingham on May 21, before calling at further stops in London, Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester – see the full list of dates and get ticketing information here.

The band’s last release was their 2022 self-titled debut LP. It earned them two Grammy Awards, for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Music Performance, while in 2023, they also won the BRIT Award for Best British Group.

The record received a glowing five-star review from NME‘s Rhian Daly, who wrote: “Wet Leg began life while Teasdale and Chambers were riding a Ferris wheel at a festival, where the pair decided to give music another chance; fittingly, their debut album feels like a giddy race around a funfair, those pesky lows batted away with wit and wisecracks like a game of verbal whack-a-mole.”

Elsewhere, Wet Leg are set to perform at a handful of festivals including Glastonbury, Green ManShaky Knees FestivalRoskilde FestivalWilderness FestivalRadio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool, TRNSMT 2025BoardmastersAll Together Now Festival and Øya Festival.
