Watch Yungblud pull pints for fans at his favourite London pub

Yungblud

Yungblud entertained fans by pulling pints behind the bar at his favourite London pub last night (April 25) – check out footage below.

The singer-songwriter – real name Dominic Harrison – made an appearance at The Hawley Arms in Camden to celebrate the release of his new single  ‘Lovesick Lullaby’, which also featured footage of Yungblud in the pub.

The track marks the second single to be shared from his forthcoming album, following on from comeback track ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’.

He teased his appearance earlier in the day with a photograph of the bar’s rota for this week, which simply had ‘Yungblud’ down for a shift from 8pm until closing time. “Also workin’ a shift at the Hawley tonight to celebrate lovesick,” he wrote in the caption. “Come let me pour you a pint x”. You can view pictures and footage below.

This is far from the first time that the artist has headed to Camden to celebrate various music milestones either. Last year, he played an impromptu show in Camden Market to celebrate the announcement of his own festival, BludFest, and surprised fans by playing a five-song set.

In 2020, he headed to The Hawley Arms shortly after winning the award for Best Music Video at the NME Awards 2020. He took home the trophy for the video for ‘Original Me’, featuring Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons – beating off competition from Normani, Brockhampton, Easy Life and Stormzy – and notably crowdsurfed his way across the bar.

Last night’s appearance wasn’t his only time behind the bar either. Back in 2019, the owners of the pub shared an update on Instagram, confirming that Yungblud had made a surprise appearance and was helping out the staff. “Had this fittie pulling pints at our gaff tonight. @yungblud you’re HIRED!” they wrote.

Other nods to the iconic London pub from Yungblud have included him recreating it at the first edition of his own festival, Bludfest, and also catching up with NME at the venue to describe what fans could expect from the event.

“We’re taking The Hawley Arms to the festival and are literally building it in Milton Keynes Bowl. I’m probably going to be watching bands and pouring lager, then at seven o’clock I’ll go have a shower, wash my winky and I’ll be ready to be fucking Yungblud,” he said at the time.

Elsewhere, earlier today (April 26) Yungblud met fans in Tottenham Court Rd in the capital and played his new single for them.

Among the fans were a family of four from Portsmouth, including their four-year-old daughter Hope, who got the chance to sit down with Harrison and listen to the track.

While ‘Lovesick Lullaby’ was officially shared yesterday, Harrison did give the song its live debut during an intimate gig at London’s Scala last month, as well as the comeback track ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’.

Although Harrison has shared two songs from the forthcoming album, little is actually known about the project – including the release date or the title. In March 2024 though, Yungblud talked to NME about the new LP, which will follow his 2022 self-titled album, and cited the likes of Oasis, The Verve, Primal Scream, My Chemical Romance, David Bowie and Madonna as inspirations.

More recently, he told us more about his upcoming “Britpop-inspired” new album, saying he had “never felt more clear or been more proud to stand by anything” he had made.

Further details about the record are set to be shared at a later date.

As for other Yungblud plans, this summer he will return to host the second instalment of Bludfest at Milton Keynes Bowl. He’ll headline the event following slots from Chase Atlantic, Denzel Curry, Blackbear and former NME Cover stars Rachel Chinouriri and Peach PRC. Find any remaining tickets here.

He has also been announced as the final headliner for Transylvania’s Electric Castle 2025, and opened up about a forthcoming track called ‘Zombie’, which will see him delve into topics of eating disorders and body dysmorphia.
