When is Verdansk returning to ‘Call of Duty: Warzone’?
It has been five years since Call of Duty: Warzone graced our screens in 2020, right before everyone got locked in their homes. It was an incredible time, and to this day the original map is still remembered fondly. That is why it is coming back.
With Warzone’s fifth anniversary in early March, it could be a time to celebrate the game by bringing back the original map. Here is what we know so far.
Verdansk is confirmed to be returning on April 3, 2025 to Warzone, with Season 3 of the game. The fifth anniversary of Warzone was on March 10, 2025, which was around when the Season 2 Reloaded update launched. Unfortunately, Season 3 got pushed back slightly to early April.
The classic map will be launching with Season 3 on day one, so you will be able to jump in right away. Season 2 of Warzone was rather light on content, so this season is expected to be quite sizeable for Warzone.
Back during COD Next in August 2024, Activision announced the return of Verdansk as a final reveal during the Warzone section of the stream, and fans have been clawing for any information since then.
Unfortunately, details have remained light during Black Ops 6‘s initial launch and during Season 1 and 2, so we don’t have any idea of how the map will look or if there are any major changes Activision may introduce. New weapons and omnimovement will be usable on the map, and we only have a CGI trailer of the map’s release so far.
We should hear more about Season 3 and Verdansk before the end of March. The POI points for the new map have been revealed, as well.
