Which R&B/Hip-Hop Music Executive Has the Most Influence? Vote Now
Billboard’s peer-voted R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players’ Choice Award is back for 2024 — and we’re asking music industry members from all sectors to honor the executive they believe had the most impact across R&B and hip-hop in the past year.
Voting is now open to all Billboard Pro members, both existing and new, with one vote per member per round.
The R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players’ Choice Award will run alongside Billboard’s annual R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players ranking of the music industry’s most influential executives in the genre, which will be announced in August.
Billboard launched its first Players’ Choice Award with the Power 100 list in January 2023. That was followed by the first Country Power Players’ Choice Award, concluded in June 2023; the inaugural R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players’ Choice Award, concluded in August 2023; and the first Latin Power Players’ Choice Award, concluded in September 2023. In 2024, the peer-voted award expanded to cover International Power Players and Top Music Lawyers.
The final round of voting to determine the winner is now live.
The finalists are:
- Mariel Gomerez, A&R at Parkwood Entertainment
- Ebony Hadley, Head of Digital at UnitedMasters
- Faith Newman, Executive vp of A&R and Catalog Development at Reservoir
- Enrique “Mag” Rodriguez, CEO at EVEN
- Kevin Shivers, Partner at WME
- Austin Thomas, Co-Founder at Tell Your Friends
This final round of voting will conclude on July 23 at 11:59pm ET to select the winner from the final six nominees.
