Who won ‘The Traitors’ season three?
After two seasons and several other versions around the world, The Traitors is still one of the most watched reality shows on TV.
Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the third season sees 25 contestants compete for a prize fund worth up to £120,000 at a castle in the Scottish Highlands.
At the castle, several contestants are selected to be “Traitors” who have to conceal their identity and eliminate the “Faithfuls” to claim the prize. If the Faithfuls manage to banish all the Traitors through daily roundtable meetings however, all the surviving contestants will win the cash prize instead.
The BBC renewed the show for a fourth season last year, with a nine-episode celebrity edition also in the pipeline.
Who left The Traitors season 3 in week one?
The opening episode introduced all 25 contestants, albeit with a train carriage twist before they even stepped into the castle. Three contestants had to nominate themselves to leave the train, unaware of what the outcome would be.
The contestants who chose to leave the train were Alexander Dragonetti, Fozia Fasil, and Jack Marriner-Brown, who were all temporarily removed from the game.
Murdered: Yin Lü (Faithful)

With the Traitors threatened by her suspicions and intellect as a Doctor of Communication, Yin Lü was the first contestant to be murdered in season three.
Banished: Nathan Khider (Faithful)
![Nathan in The Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Traitors-Nathan.jpg)
Despite growing suspicions against Traitor Linda at the roundtable, eight players voted to oust 39-year-old property consultant Nathan. The decision was based on very little evidence, outside of his quiet demeanour.
Murdered: Keith Stewart (Faithful)
![Keith in The Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Traitors-Keith.jpg)
Considered a strong and likeable character in the group, window cleaner Keith became the second person to be murdered by the Traitors.
Banished: Elen Wyn (Faithful)
![Elen in The Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Traitors-Elen.jpg)
After being pegged as suspicious by other players, coupled with her belief that the majority of the Traitors would be “strong females”, translator Elen was banished from the game.
“Once your name is out there, it’s really tough to save yourself,” she told the BBC.
Banished: Armani Gouveia (Traitor)
![Armani in The Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Traitors-Armani.jpg)
The players managed to banish their first Traitor in the third episode, as Armani’s brash and commanding approach quickly worked against her. Her fate was sealed after her own sister, Maia Gouveia, admitted to having suspicions about her behaviour.
Who left in week two?
At the start of the second week of episodes, previously eliminated contestants Alexander Dragonetti, Fozia Fasil, and Jack Marriner-Brown were brought back in a challenge which saw them hanging in cages in the forest.
Players could save only two of the three hanging contestants, who would then join the game from this point on. After making convincing arguments, Alexander and Fozia were saved by the players, while Yorkshire-born market trader Jack was sent home.
Murdered: Maia Gouveia (Faithful)
![Maia in The Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Traitors-Maia.jpg)
After her sister was banished in the last roundtable, the Traitors chose to murder Maia to take out what could have been a formidable opponent. Her death also cast suspicions on Freddie, who previously targeted her during the last roundtable.
Banished: Kasim Ahmed (Faithful)
![Kasim in The Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Traitors-Kasim.jpg)
In what felt like an unfortunate inevitability, Kasim was banished from the group for simply being too nice and – in Jake’s mind at least – because he is a doctor. Armani was the one who sealed his fate during a previous roundtable after she inexplicably vouched for him, leaving the other players convinced he was also a Traitor.
Banished: Tyler Smith (Faithful)
![Tyler The Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Tyler-main-new.jpg)
Despite the heat on Freddie, the tide turned against 29-year-old barber Tyler at the roundtable as Leon and Leanne began to suspect someone within their inner circle. His departure caused a particularly emotional response from Livi, who stormed off in tears because of the decision.
Murdered: Livi Deane (Faithful)
![Livi Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Livi-traitors.jpg)
To put Freddie further in the firing line, the Traitors decided to kill 26-year-old beautician and model Livi following her emotional outburst at the roundtable.
Banished: Dan Bird (Faithful)
![Dan in The Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Dan-traitors.jpg)
Despite not being on anyone’s radar prior to the episode, Dan’s lies during the challenge became his undoing at the roundtable. He was confronted by both Leanne and Minah, who put the spotlight on his hidden truths to the rest of the group.
Who left in week three?
There was a twist for the first murder of the third week. The Traitors picked four contestants to play a card game called Death Match, the loser of which would be murdered.
Leon, Alexander, Fosia and Anna were chosen to play. The winner of each round was saved from murder.
The remaining players found out the outcome of the game in the next Mission, where they found the surviving players in coffins.
Murdered: Fozia Fasil (Faithful)
![Fozia Fasil](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/fozia-the-traitors-1.jpg)
Fozia was the last player left standing at the end of Death Match, following a nail-biting final stand off against Leon. She was then murdered in plain sight by the Traitors.
Banished: Linda Rands (Traitor)
![Linda](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/linda-the-traitors.jpg)
After days of suspicion from the Faithful, including a couple of close calls at the roundtable, Linda became the second Traitor to be banished from the game.
Murdered: Anna Duke (Faithful)
![Anna Duke](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/anna-studio-lambert-1.jpg)
After Charlotte was recruited as a Traitor, she and Minah decided Anna’s time in the castle was over and she was “no longer needed”. Anna had been suspected earlier in the game of being a Traitor and, after being chosen for Death Match, was feeling that the Traitors were out to get her. The Traitors previously tried to recruit her, but she refused.
Banished: Alex Oleksy (Faithful)
![Alex from The Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/alex-the-traitors-1.jpg)
Alex had mostly flown under the radar throughout the game, but an ill-placed comment in the kitchen proved his downfall.
Murdered: Lisa Coupland (Faithful)
![Lisa Coupland in The Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Lisa-traitors.jpg)
Seeing her strength as a trusted Faithful who cannot lie in theory, the Traitors decided to murder Anglican priest Lisa after some sharp observations.
Banished: Leon Jackman (Faithful)
![Leon Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Leon-traitors.jpg)
The Faithfuls became suspicious of retail store manager Leon following his change in demeanour after the Death Match, causing his closest allies to turn against him.
Who left in week four?
The show’s final week kicked off in relatively straight-forward fashion, with a brutal murder and a twisted game of chess.
With only two roundtable sessions left, tensions between the eight remaining contestants hit an all-time high. The game, however, is about to be turned on its head through a teased secret power.
Murdered: Joe Scott (Faithful)
![Joe Scott](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/joe-the-traitors.jpg)
Joe was a very vocal member of the group, frequently putting ideas across at the roundtable – however wrong they turned out to be. However, this worked against him in the end as the Traitors thought murdering him would consequently send a strong message.
Banished: Minah Shannon (Traitor)
![Minah](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/minah-the-traitors-1.jpg)
Minah played a strong game as a Traitor from the start and avoided suspicion for a rather long time, but eventually, it all came unstuck. In the end, fellow Traitor Charlotte threw her under the bus, giving the final vote that meant she was banished from the castle.
After she was eliminated, the last remaining Traitor, Charlotte, chose to recruit Freddie, who reluctantly accepted the invitation.
Banished: Freddie Fraser (Traitor)
![Freddie Fraser](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/freddie-fraser-traitors.jpg)
No murder took place in the show’s penultimate episode as Charlotte deceived newly recruited Traitor Freddie into murdering Leanne, despite the fact she couldn’t be murdered as she had a shield. The Faithful saw through Freddie’s awkward attempt at lying and he was subsequently banished.
After earning the most money in the mission, Francesca was given the power of the Seer, allowing her to discover the true identity of one chosen contestant in a private meeting. In a dramatic cliffhanger, we find out she has chosen to unmask Charlotte.
Banished: Charlotte Berman (Traitor)
![Charlotte Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Charlotte-traitors.jpg)
After Francesca discovered Charlotte was a Traitor, it became a fierce battle between the two to convince others of the previous night’s events. Despite Charlotte’s crocodile tears, it was Francesca who managed to overthrow the final Traitor – although none of the Faithfuls were told Charlotte’s true identity when she left.
Banished: Alexander Dragonetti (Faithful)
![Alexander in The Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Alexander-traitors.jpg)
After stumbling in the final roundtable, Alexander became the obvious target around the firepit. He was suspected throughout the series, despite being a Faithful, and these suspicions became too prominent in the final round.
Banished: Francesca Rowan-Plowden (Faithful)
![Francesca Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Francesca-main.jpg)
Charlotte’s attacks against Francesca’s credibility proved too damaging at the firepit, as she became the second contestant to be banished in the final round following a pivotal vote from Leanne.
Who won the final of The Traitors?
Winners: Jake Brown and Leanne Quigley (Faithfuls)
![Jake and Leanne Traitors](https://www.nme.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Traitors-winners.jpg)
This year’s series was won by 28-year-old project manager Jake and 28-year-old Leanne, an ex-soldier who posed as nail technician. After eliminating Alexander and Francesca at the firepit, the pair split the final prize of £94,600.
