Before Willy Wonka’s legendary chocolate factory welcomed Charlie Bucket into its halls, its famous candymaker had to discover his passion for inventing unique sweets. Warner Bros. delves into the backstory in the new film Wonka, which you can preorder to own digitally through Prime Video and on DVD.

The movie dropped on VOD Tuesday (Jan. 30), with plans to be released on DVD Feb. 27. You can still score tickets to see it on the big screen here if you’d prefer to watch it in cinemas.

Directed by Paul King, the musical movie provides the origin story of Willy Wonka (played by Timothée Chalamet) from Roald Dahl’s book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The young and poor aspiring chocolatier discovers the candy industry is run by a cartel of greedy businessmen, leading him to take matters into his own hands and invent chocolate and magical tricks that change the world with the help of his friend Oompa-Loompa (Hugh Grant).

Other cast members include Rowan Atkinson, Olivia Colman, Calah Lane, Keegan-Michael Key, Paterson Joseph, Sally Hawkins and Mathew Baynton.
