Ye & Ty Dolla $ign Reveal ‘Vultures 2’ Listening Experience in Salt Lake City

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign are bringing their newly dropped Vultures 2 album to Utah.

On Saturday (Aug. 3), Ty announced on Instagram that he and Ye — formerly known as Kanye West — will present their Vultures sequel to fans in Salt Lake City on Aug. 9.

A specific venue for the SLC date had not been revealed at press time.

The announcement arrives on the heels of the duo’s Vultures 2, which hit streaming services early Saturday morning. The sequel arrives about six months after the first Vultures album, which topped the Billboard 200 chart in back-to-back weeks. That marked the first time Ye held the top spot for more than a week since 2011’s Watch the Throne.

Prior to the new Vultures drop, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign announced a pair of listening experience parties in South Korea (Aug. 23) and Taiwan (Aug. 25). The duo is scheduled to visit South Korea’s Goyang Stadium for a Vultures event, but details of the Taiwan venue and ticketing situation are not yet known. LeGrand is handling promotion duties as the organizer for both events.

Ye and Ty’s recently announced “listening experiences” follow previously announced events scheduled in Italy. Earlier in the year, the pair revealed they would play Vultures 1 for fans at the Milan Forum (Feb. 22) and Bologna Unipol Arena (Feb. 24). They also held listening events at Chicago’s United Center on Feb. 8 and New York’s UBS Arena on Feb. 9.

Kanye and Ty are still riding high off the success of Vultures anthem “Carnival,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March.

Ty Dolla $ign told Billboard in July that V2 was finished but awaiting a proper rollout.

“We got all the songs. Basically it’s just like, ‘How can we get it there? How can we go bigger than the first album?’” the rapper said. “Certain people will probably expect you to just do the same exact sound. But that sound’s already out.”
