Yeah Yeah Yeahs have hinted at a potential tour by sharing a speculative list of cities they could potentially be playing at.

Today (March 11), Karen O and co took to the band’s official social media accounts to share a poster that simply reads: “Yeah Yeah Yeahs” with the cities Chicago, London, Los Angeles, Manchester, Mexico City, Nashville, New York and San Francisco on it.

The caption reads “Wait…”, alluding to their 2003 hit track ‘Maps’, while fans are urged to sign up here for any updates. The band’s website takes you to a landing page in the same format as the poster with RSVP links for each city mentioned. A line that reads “Don’t see your city?” is also up on the page with its own RSVP link next to it.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ most recent show took place at Toronto’s HISTORY venue on November 11, 2023. That same year, they performed alongside fellow NYC indie rock icons The Strokes at All Points East in London.

They also commemorated the 20th anniversary of their debut album ‘Fever To Tell’ with the release of a half-hour documentary. There Is No Modern Romance was shot on the band’s 2002 tour by their frequent collaborator Patrick Daughters.

Their latest full-length release was 2022’s ‘Cool It Down‘. In a four-star review of the LP, NME shared: “‘Cool It Down’ is a creative testament to how refreshing it can be for bands to look forward instead of backwards, and as O said while describing the album’s opening track, ‘it’s galvanizing, and there’s hope there’.”

In other news, Yeah Yeah Yeahs were recently featured on the ‘Los Angeles Rising’ wildfire relief benefit compilation album. Elsewhere, Karen O is set to perform as part of the People Have The Power: A Celebration of Patti Smith benefit show in NYC on March 26.
